According to him, surgical operations which hitherto could not be carried out due to lack of infrastructure are now being done out with ease following the provision of necessary equipment.
Dr. Olufowobi said with this development, the onus is on medical practitioners to roll up their sleeves and complement government's effort on health care system, particularly at the grassroots. Responding, the Head of Service, Mrs. Modupe Adekunle said the Senator Amosun-led administration placed a high premium on healthy living, pointing out that this is why it is not sparing any cost to provide equipment needed to enhance service delivery.
Mrs. Adekunle urged them to undergo necessary trainings to sharpen their skills in order to make meaningful contribution to the effort of the government to make efficient health care delivery system available to the people. She also advised that it was high time for doctors who had not been performing as expected to turn a new leaf, saying that the practice of leaving patients at the mercy of nurses should be discontinued.
