  1. Ensure compliance with Financial Regulations, IPSAS and the Accounting Codes by all Staff under his control and supervision.
  2. Ensuring adequate supervision in the disbursement of funds and ensuring proper monitoring and accounting for revenue, so as to realize goal congruence in revenue collection by the Agency.
  3. Maintaining a sound Internal Control System and strict adherence to the provisions of Financial Regulations and ensure that Accounting reports are prepared in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
  4. Maintaining proper records of accounts such as Main and Subsidiary Ledgers, Cash Book, DVEA Book, Personal Advances Ledgers, etc.
  5. Prompting rendition of all Returns e.g Consolidated Accounts (Monthly Transcripts), Bank Reconciliation Statements, Revenue and Expenditure Returns, Loans and Advances Returns, etc as prescribed in Financial Regulations.

Compiling and defending budget proposals and ensuring effective budgeting control by matching/ comparing budgeted figures with actual expenditure or revenue as the case may be and advise the Accounting Officer appropriately.
