Brief Background:

The Department facilitates the mandate and process mapping of MDAs in accordance with the goals of the administration. Being one of the technical departments of the Bureau, it is saddled with the responsibilities of initiating laudable reforms in MDAs that would enhance the Public Service in delivering qualitative service that would meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Functions of the Department:

  1. Developing and facilitating Public Service transformation processes and activities;
  2. Developing organizational performance metrics and systems for the Ogun State Public Service in collaboration with other MDAs;
  3. Developing and facilitating strategies that will position the Ogun State Public Service for sustainable transformation;
  4. Coordinating technical support services from local and foreign partners regarding improved service delivery and public service transformation in collaboration with the Service Improvement and Process Re-Engineering Department;
  5. Facilitating the mapping and streamlining of the mandates of MDAs for effective synergy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, e.g. the Service Matters Department of the Office of the Head of Service (HoS);
  6. Implementing, reviewing, evaluating and reporting on Government transformation blue print / change agenda from time to time;
  7. Advising the State Government on Public Service transformation and innovations; and
  8. Serving as Secretariat of the State Steering Committee on Reforms in consultation with the Permanent Secretary.
