OVER 730 IJEBU-ODE RESIDENTS BENEFIT FROM FREE MEDICAL SURGERY

A large number of Ijebu-Ode residents have benefited from the on-going free surgical initiatives of the Ogun State government, which they acclaimed to be one of the best health programmes in the annals of the local government to help in alleviating the impact of the economic challenges being experienced nationwide.

Some beneficiaries showered encomium on the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the initiative at Ijebu-Ode General Hospital.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Temitayo Adesiji, appreciated Governor Abiodun for this timely intervention, saying he had gone to a private hospital where he was asked to pay a huge sum of money for the operation.

"I want to use this medium to thank the Governor for this kind gesture, we appreciate it", he said.

Also commenting, Mr. Olowokere Damilola, who was elated to be part of the free surgical intervention, noted that, "if not for this surgical intervention, I would not be able to afford the surgery because it requires a huge amount of money but I thank God for this opportunity from our Governor".

While another beneficiary, Mrs. Remi Adesanya, said the intervention was timely, enthusing that all the expenses for the surgery were free, as no money was required for all the tests.

"I can only thank Governor Abiodun for this kind gesture. We appreciate him for being magnanimous", she said.
