Ogun Government commences the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) enabled vehicles to ease transportation.
On Saturday, during the 2023 "Odun Omo Owu'' celebration with the theme "A New Dawn" at Oba Adeleye Park in Sokori, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the upcoming launch of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) mass transit buses in the state. This launch is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 30th.
Governor Abiodun emphasized that the conversion of mass transit buses to CNG is a significant step aimed at mitigating the impact of subsidy removal on the residents of Ogun State. He also highlighted that Ogun State is the first in the country to achieve this milestone of introducing CNG-powered buses for mass transit purposes.
