The department is statutorily responsible for the provision of Administrative, Personnel and General /services of the Ministry. The duties of the Department therefore, include:

  1. Establishment Matters: Promotion, Appointment, Discipline, Inter-Cadre Transfer, Postings, Change of Names, Processing of Casual, Annual and Maternity Leave, Processing of Retirement and Death Benefit
  2. Procurement and Maintenance of equipment, Furniture and General Supplies
  3. National Youth Service Corps Matters
  4. Transport/Vehicle Matters
  5. Security Matters
  6. Secretarial Services
  7. General Services
  8. Provision of information as may be required by other Agencies and Partners.
  9. Burial arrangements/Expenses
