Bio: A seasoned engineer with extensive experience, serving as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.

Engr. Dr. Yusuf Lateef Oladimeji was born on September 23, 1966, into the Muslim family of Alhaji Muyideen Adio Yusuf, hailing from Konjo-Adi compound in Ijaiye, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He completed his Primary and Secondary School Education at Olumo Primary School and Premier Grammar School Abeokuta in 1978 and 1984, respectively. Graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ilorin in 1989, he furthered his academic pursuits, obtaining a Post-Graduate Diploma with distinction, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta in 2005, 2009, and 2016, respectively.

Engr. Dr. Yusuf has enriched his knowledge through various training courses in Project Management, Engineering Procurement, and Leadership, both locally and internationally. Commencing his career as Engineer II (Grade Level 08) with the Ogun State Ministry of Works and Housing in May 1991, he diligently rose through the ranks to become the Permanent Secretary on September 29, 2020.

He earned his registration as an engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria (COREN) in 1998. In 2020, he became a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and, in 2021, a Fellow of the Nigeria Institution of Civil Engineers. Additionally, he has been a Member of the Nigeria Computer Society since 2018.

Throughout his career, Engr. Dr. Yusuf has been actively involved in the Procurement, Planning, Design, Construction, and Supervision of various Structural and Highway Engineering projects. Notably, he has contributed to the ongoing Urban Renewal Infrastructural Projects in Ogun State. His commitment to academic and professional development is evident through numerous presentations at Engineering fora and higher learning institutions, along with Fifteen International Publications spanning disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science, and Public Procurement.

Currently holding the position of Permanent Secretary at the Ogun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Dr. Yusuf Lateef Oladimeji believes in overcoming challenges through creativity, determination, and joy. His extensive experience and dedication make him an invaluable asset to his current role.
