GOV. ABIODUN SWEARS-IN CCA PRESIDENT

New President of Ogun State Customary Court of Appeal (CCA), Hon. Justice Olusola Femi-Segun, has been sworn-in, with a charge to lead with integrity and ensure that the court remains a beacon of justice that is respected by all.

The state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, while speaking at the swearing-in ceremony at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, acknowledged the contributions of CCA in ensuring the principles of fairness, equity and tradition, in resolving disputes within communities in the state.

Governor Abiodun added that the Court had been playing a crucial role in dispute resolution based on customary laws and traditions, as well as preserving customs of the people, tasking the new President to uphold the values of fairness, adhere to due process and ensure that justice is equitably served.

“I urge you to ensure that customary laws are interpreted and applied in a manner that promotes harmony and societal well-being. I charge you to come up with innovative ways of improving the delivery and administration of justice in the state’’, he said.

The state’s helmsman commended other members of the CCA for their invaluable services and dedication to upholding the rule of law, assuring that his administration would continue to look after the welfare of the Judiciary, sustain principles of separation of powers and the rule of law.
